Peggy Polydoros is a Researcher in the Research & Library Services Department. 

She works closely with clients and other Researchers to conduct family history research and answer genealogical questions. Peggy earned a B.A. in Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations and English (with minors in Anthropology, History, and Museums & Cultural Heritage) from Rice University. She has formal training in historical research methods, extensive involvement in Greek American institutions, and professional experiences that have taken her across the United States, Greece, and Bulgaria. 

Peggy regularly completes research reports, constructs family history narratives, and contributes to American Ancestors’ Vita Brevis blog. She combines her interests in history and writing to piece together and provide context for family stories across time and space. Her areas of expertise include Greek ancestry, Greek American organizations, the history of the Mediterranean, Orthodox Christianity, early 20th  century immigration, Swedish ancestry, diaspora studies, and archaeology.
