Shannon joined the American Ancestors staff in 2026. As the Supervising Editor, she manages the production of titles under the American Ancestors and Newbury Street Press imprints. Prior to her work at American Ancestors, Shannon worked as a writer and editor in the finance industry and as an editorial assistant and multimedia producer in the educational publishing industry. Shannon holds a BA in writing, literature, and publishing from Emerson College and is pursuing a dual MA/MFA in children’s literature and writing for Children at Simmons University.
