At Banff the eleventh day of September one thousand eight hundred and twenty four year, In presence of Patrick Rose Esq, one of her Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County of Banff, Compared John Mitchel, William Adam, and John Rhind residents in Banff and made Oath that William Turner son of Thomas Turner a soldier in the Hopeton Fencibles by Janet Adam an unmarried woman in this parish was born in the month of March one thousand seven hundred and ninety five, and they further depose that the said Thomas Turner and Janet Adam were afterwards married which also appears from the marriage register of Banff. All which they declared to be truth as they shall answer to God.
