David Shaw joined American Ancestors in 2025, and is a graduate of University of Richmond as well as Georgetown University’s Applied Intelligence Master’s program.
His previous work includes state and federal Democratic Congressional Offices, the nonprofit Committee for Human Rights in North Korea, and the Boston Office of Historic Preservation, in addition to numerous town and University historical archives teams.
David holds a lifelong interest in historic and sociological study, spurred by listening to family stories of his fabled Greek ancestors as a child. Along with a personal obsession towards primary source historical documents, this interest eventually led him on a years-long mission to uncover his family’s own forgotten genealogical story. So far, he has uncovered lost branches from Greece, Italy, Ireland and Scotland in his own research.
Expertise: Greece, Italy, Ireland, and Scotland.
